**R50 000 Per month**

The purpose of the job is to plan, manage, administer and secure system databases as well as troubleshoot any database

issues affecting system performance and ensure data quality across the databases. As a SQL Server Database Administrator

(DBA) you will be responsible for:

- Manage SQL Server databases;
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes;
- Monitor system’s health and performance;
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security;
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes;
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement;
- Provide support for business critical systems; and
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE BASE**
- BSC Computer Science degree or B.Tech or Advanced Diploma or relevant equivalent qualification at NQF level 7.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in SQL Server database administration or similar role.
- Knowledge and experience with database Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
- Knowledge and experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
- Knowledge and experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows Server Operating System, including Active Directory.
