**Key overview & responsibilities**:
The Controls and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for Controls maintenance on all Air Products facilities.

**Key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to**:
1. Maintain all plant instrumentation and controls, including troubleshooting, installation and repairs.
2. Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols, including contractor management in line with AP health and safety requirements;
3. Responsible for Control System Engineering; 4. Actively manage plant projects when required to do so in line with AP best practices;
5. Ensuring effective and efficient communication.

**Essential Requirements**

1. Must have a Grade 12 qualification;
2. Must be Instrumentation Red Seal Trade tested or relevant technical qualification (S4);
3. Must have 5 years of experience on heavy industry Instrumentation and Control equipment;
4. Must have 3 years PLC/DCS experience;
5. Must have 2 years project management experience;
6. Willing to work overtime as and when required;
7. Basic knowledge of MS office suite particularly Excel and Word;
8. Must have basic knowledge of NOSA and ISO Standards;
9. Must have a valid driver’s license (Code B).
