Our Digital Architecture team prides itself on its responsibility for the architecture that underpins Absa’s award-winning mobile app and other Online Banking channels, our involvement in guiding and contributing to exciting new and existing Digital features and channels, and our ability to turn around cutting edge and high-quality Digital solutions to help carry our business into the next generation of South African banking.

**Job Description**:
What you’ll get to do:
The role is within the Digital Architecture team and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Work with the area Change Leads to maintain an accurate and current prioritized view over the Digital Book of Work (Business Unit and Digital Platforms areas)
- Maintain an accurate reporting view over the collective Architecture backlog and work in progress
- Review incoming Book of Work submissions and ensure completion of the pre-requisites prior to the Digital Demand Forum and Digital Platforms Demand Forum
- Actively engage the team for updates to the Digital Architecture JIRA Kanban Board, and perform regular follow-ups on incomplete, outdated, or outstanding JIRA tickets
- Actively support the architecture delivery process at relevant points
- Maintain, enhance, and access control our Digital Architecture SharePoint portal site
- Ensure incoming Architecture Review Board bookings and presentations meet defined pre-requisites
- Compile and distribute the agenda and presentation deck for upcoming Architecture Review Board sessions
- Compile, formalize and distribute accurate minutes and technical actions for our weekly Architecture Review Board sessions
- Actively engage the team to ensure closure of outstanding actions from the Architecture Review Board sessions
- Collaborate with Domain Architects to formalize the approval of Architecture Impact Assessments
- Be involved in team sessions where required and compile accurate technical minutes accordingly
- Proactively identify areas of improvement within the team processes and engagements
- Proactively assist the Architecture team in maintaining compliance with governance requirements

What you need to get in:

- A 3-year Degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar technical team support role
- Exposure to technology-based teams within Financial Services would be beneficial
- Ability to proactively contribute to improvements in the team processes
- Ability to understand technical concepts and constructs in a complex Digital environment at a high level
- Have a flair for engaging and operating with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment with multiple technical teams
- Be able to motivate and assist a diverse team of passionate people
- Have an aptitude for research, motivating a team of passionate people as well as dealing with organizational change
