You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Achieve growth in current and new distribution channels
Monitor sales against targets
Manage and assist with price increases
Monitor and improve customer service
Identify sales trends
Develop new products to meet market demands
Set appropriate marketing strategies and selling prices
Constantly review all trading terms with customers to ensure that they are appropriate and within limits determined by the CEO and or Board
Provide leadership to staff and identify opportunities to train and develop Update ranging and plan-o-grams in your channels
Manage a team of agents and company sales and a merchandising team
Feedback to head office to include competitor activity noticed in stores, sales trends, price increases noticed in stores
Provide management reviews
Manage and co-ordinate our consumer expo’s
Other responsibilities normal to the position
Must be able to work under pressure
Must become a Product knowledge expert
Strong communication and negotiation skills are required to do constant follow ups and negotiate promotional pricing with buyers.
**Education**:
Matric
B. Com (Sales & Marketing)
Experience from the FMCG sector, where you have been exposed to key account management, regional and national sales, and learnt how big retailers like Dis-chem, Clicks and Supermarkets operate.
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A high degree of digital literacy across many of today’s vital business tools including collaborative cloud working, PowerBi, Syspro and exceptional MS Excel skills
**Skills**:
Utilize sharp commercial and analytical thinking along with strong relationship building skills to manage and grow key national accounts across the business
Stay on top of daily, weekly and monthly sales, identify and solve problems as, when and before they arise
Use strong inter-personal skills to solve root-cause issues with buyers and foster mutually beneficial relationships
Work closely with the CEO and interface with other heads of departments to accurately forecast sales, provide bi-weekly sales analysis and list new product ranges and brands into stores
The Sales Manager will also be tasked with managing a sales team and several reps and agents around the country. This is a “hands-on” sales management role
Most importantly, you are passionate about your industry, have a great personality and fit into our office culture
**Salary**: R40,000.00 - R60,000.00 per month
