Events Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated **Events Coordinator** to join our team at our luxury hotel or resort in Langebaan. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events and functions, ensuring that each one is managed seamlessly and meets the high standards of our property. This role is key to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests, working closely with clients to understand their needs and overseeing all event details for a successful outcome.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage events, including weddings, corporate functions, conferences, and other special occasions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing personalized service and ensuring their vision for the event is realized.
- Liaise with internal departments, vendors, and external service providers to organize all aspects of the event, including catering, décor, setup, and entertainment.
- Oversee event execution on the day, ensuring all logistics run smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
- Manage event budgets and timelines, ensuring financial goals are met while maintaining the hotel’s high standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations during all events.
- Assist with post-event feedback and evaluations to improve future event offerings.
- Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and promote the hotel’s event services.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Hotel Management or Events Management qualification (advantageous).
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel or corporate environment.
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination, with a track record of successful event delivery.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
