Specialist: Procurement Governance, Risk

**Core Description**:
Responsible for governance and processes to enable a positive customer experience. Ensure that these processes are applied, enhanced and continuously reviewed and aligned the organisation strategy. Support and monitor adherence to Procurement procedures and supplier compliance requirements.

**Responsibilities**:
- Create, maintain, communicate, and implement procurement governance processes and policies.
- Develop and maintain procurement governance training materials, manuals, and sessions.
- Drive continuous improvement of procurement governance policies framework.
- Maintain a risk and issues register and suggest mitigating actions for procurement risk; recommend remedial action and make appropriate changes to current processes and practices.
- Work with stakeholders to support wider compliance and risk activities in relation to Procurement Governance and Supplier risks.
- Participate in the development and implementation of systems/tools that result in improved operational efficiency and reduced organisational procurement risk.
- Conduct routine spots checks on procurement files to document ongoing operational quality, collects statistics for the department and submit reports on risks and recommendations.
**Required Certification**:
**Qualifications**:
3-year Degree / Diploma (NQF level 6) preferably in Supply Chain, Risk and Compliance or associated field.
**Experience**:
5 years' relevant experience, preferably in procurement governance, procurement risk and procurement compliance activities
**Special Requirements**:
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to leverage a diverse stakeholder network.
- Excellent policy and report writing, and presentation skills.
