**What will you do?**
- This career opportunity is available at **Echelon** a division of Santam for a **Claims Handler**, who will be based in **Sunclare Building, 21 Dreyer Street, Claremont, Cape Town.**

**Qualification and Knowledge**
- Matric
- Minimum 2-3 years personal lines, short term insurance claims handling experience essential
- Good computer skills
- Sound knowledge of Motor and Non-Motor claims processes.**What will make you successful in this role?**

- Subscribe to the purpose, vision, and values of the company.**Main functions**:

- Register claims and make decisions regarding merit
- Manage claims in terms of SLA’s
- Appoint assessors if necessary
- Negotiate settlements
- Daily estimate updates as well as note attachment to system
- Timeous and efficient management of inbox
- Liaise with brokers
- Prompt feedback and handling of complaints (internal & external)
- Assisting with the loading of payments and bordereaux’s.**Core Competencies**
