**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
The purpose of HR Officer is to provide a comprehensive HR advisory and administrative service to employees, line managers and other relevant stakeholders. The position carries out HR generalist responsibilities which, in collaboration with the HR Business Partners, include the provision of HR services such as staffing/recruitment, training & development, performance management, employee relations and employee wellness.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree / Diploma in HR
- Minimum of 5 years’ working experience as an HR Officer or similar role
- Knowledge of legislations, PAYE, UIF, filing and admin
- Experience with HR databases, HRIS systems, Sage People/VIP HR Premier or related HR System
- Valid Code 08 driver's license (advantageous)
- Ability to travel
- Clear criminal record

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and manage the personal records of employees on matters such as contracts, leave and training
- Prepare associated HR reports where necessary
- Monitoring of probation period and fixed term contracts
- Assist with performance management reviews
- Facilitation and completion of IOD Claims
- Completion of all necessary DoL requirements
- Assist recruitment from time to time with interviewing, reference checking where necessary
- Prepare necessary documentation on request for HR audits
- On-boarding and Off-boarding
- Manage the personnel files and employee records
- Assist with benefits administration
- Assist the HR Business Partner with poor performance consultations
- Advise employees on policies and procedures, leave, absenteeism, and all HR related queries.
- Assist and coordinate in disciplinary, grievance and incapacity processes together with the Employee Relations Specialist.
