Star Schools is a supplementary education service provider that has been delivering and facilitating turnkey teaching, learning and management solutions to basic education since 1968, with a specific focus on grades 10, 11 and 12.

The COO - Board of Directors
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related, MBA from top school preferred
**Experience**:
- 5 to 10 years management experience at a senior level within the Corporate / Private Education environment.
- 5 years project management experience.
- An understanding of the Education sector would be an advantage.
- Corporate strategy and strong financial management experience.
- High level of computer literacy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Acting as key spokesperson for the vision, values and objectives of Star Schools.
- Overseeing the achievement of strategic goals by monitoring enrolments, financials and campus developments both present and future.
- Monitoring the financial performance of the company by analysing the monthly income statements to ensure that financial targets are achieved.
- Always ensuring the appropriate financial and management controls are in place and complies with all relevant legal regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring that enrolment targets are met.
- Maintaining a strong brand image in all marketing activities.
- Investigating and initiating the possibility of sponsored academic projects with independent bodies.
- Developing strategies to maintain academic standards.
- Providing strong and effective leadership through open and honest inter-personal relationships.
- Developing strategies to ensure the successful growth of Star Schools.
