Technical Junior Buyer

**1. **JOB PURPOSE**
The Junior Buyer will be responsible to efficiently provide customer service by procuring indirect products for the day to day operations of the organization.

The Job is responsible for the following:

**Responsibilities**
**Safety, Quality and Housekeeping**
1. Ensure the execution of all Purchasing functions to be at the highest level of quality.
2. Maintains a tidy, neat and structured environment which complies with occupational health standards.
3. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all Health & Safety policies. Identify any risks within the department & escalate to the relevant manager to avoid any incidents.
4. Ensure a proper filing system of all Purchasing related documentation for auditing purposes.
5. High level of customer service with industry standard turnaround times for all requests as per agreed SLA’s.
6. Build and maintain highly professional relationships with suppliers and customers.
7. Comply with internal business policies and procedures and ensure that this enforced and adhered to.
8. Housekeeping
**Purchasing**
1. Ensure accurate and on-time purchasing of all products and services as required by the organization.
2. Sourcing and selection of suppliers for these products and services.
3. Distribute RFQ’s for required products and services.
4. Compare quotations and place orders according to best criteria for the company. Ensure approval of requisitions prior to order placement.
5. Expedite orders for on time delivery. Keep overdue orders at a minimum, according to agreed KPI’s.
6. Communicate delivery dates, orders delivered and delays to the relevant parties.
7. Negotiating prices and payment terms.
8. Maintain a database of approved suppliers.
9. Process all orders on the system. Resolve queries relating to orders, pricing and deliveries.
10. Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers.
11. Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
**Reporting**
1. Ensure constant feedback to the Purchasing and Planning Team Leader.
