**Job purpose**:
The Technical Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers for the procurement of cost effective and timely delivery of electronic, mechanical and electrical equipment, materials, parts and services, and works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure the defined technical requirements are met. The Technical Buyer is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing terms, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

**What will you be doing?**
- A Grade 12 Certificate.
- A mandatory Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6) in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management.
- 5-10 years of proven experience in electronic, mechanical, and electrical procurement within the aviation or defense industry.
- A strong understanding of business principles, policies, and legislation related to purchasing.
- Proficiency in procurement ERP software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
