**Engineering Draughts **Person** (Senior)**

**INTRODUCTION**:
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Engineering Consulting industry, for an Engineering Draughts person (Senior) The position is based in Pretoria.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- NDip in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in the management and execution of projects
- Experience in all types of building structures, and experience in civil structures projects will be an advantage.
- Revit and BIM modelling experience will be a definite advantage.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Experience in professional services tendering and agreements.
- Assists with conceptual design development and drawing, translates specifications and designs into engineering drawings to be issued for construction.
- Drawings must provide unambiguous scope for execution.
- In conjunction with the engineer produce functional, economical, and technically correct drawings.
- Provide the engineer with preliminary drawings with initial conceptual information for further refinement.
- Structural detailing
- Calculate quantities and measurements to enable the team to produce effective and accurate schedules.
- Manage drawings received and the drawings issuing process.
- Review incoming drawings and advise the engineer and draughters on changes required.
- Manage projects during execution stage: shared responsibility with the engineer as required.
- Manage compliance with the ISO 9001 quality system and drawing standards.
- Good people and communication skills
