An exciting opportunity has become available within the civil / structural engineering industry, for a Structural Technician. The position is based in Cape Town (remote).

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Between 7 to 12 years applicable industry experience.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Probar 2D and Padds. (Knowledge of Prokon will be beneficial)
- Multi-Disciplinary Draughting National Certificate and /or National Diploma in Civil Engineering will be beneficial.
- Will be required to takes responsibility and ownership of tasks.
- Must be dynamic and self-motivated.
- Must have organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to works independently.
- Must have own vehicle and be in possession of a valid driver's license.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Generate structural tender and construction drawings for mainly, but not limited to, reinforced concrete, structural steel and load bearing brickwork structures. These will include 3D models and 2D layouts, sections and details.
- Generate concrete reinforcing bending schedules.
- Checking of documentation produced.
- Issue of drawings, bending schedules, as well as other documents, if so required.
- Issue and maintaining of drawing registers for individual projects.
- Undertake site inspections to confirm the quality and correctness of construction, do reinforcing inspections and observe construction progress.
