**Responsibilities**:

Delivery Planning
- Sign off yard check to establish availability of machines
- Review and confirm machine list for next day delivery
- Daily planning meeting with Hire Desk to ensure all orders are properly planned
- Update fleet board with yard check, new orders and collection
- Weekly machine planning

Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with transport logistics suppliers to allocate trucks to deliveries
- Allocate machine familiarisation trainers and assessors based on training needs and operational requirements
- Allocate machine operators in consultation with the Operator Supervisor based on operational requirements
- Check the correctness of all machine delivery and collection notes
- Daily check for damages on truck and machine returns
- Ensure machines are allocated within 15 mins
- Communicate machine allocations to all departments
- Coordinate delivery and collection locations with customers
- Sourcing of machines to fulfill sales and rental requirements
- Ensure that transport logistics suppliers adhere to company SOP’s
- Expedite all deliveries and collections until finalisation

Controls and reporting
- Communicate all late deliveries to Hire Desk and Rep, as well as customer
- Update diesel fill list and audit diesel slips to tank reading
- Ensure all machines are loaded and off-loaded as per company standards
- Ensure that all machines are checked for battery charging levels and diesel levels before loading
- Prepare weekly logistics stats
- Managing and reporting on the logistics budget
- Managing the logistics teams, operators and trainers
- General
- To ensure that a professional image is always projected, i.e. personal grooming and company vehicles
- To ensure that the quality of service is provided and the satisfaction of its customers are treated with the utmost importance at all times
- To promote the company and do everything possible to enhance its image and customer service
- To ensure that all duties are carried out safely and in accordance with all company and legal requirements
- To work in harmony with other employees in the company
- To ensure that confidentiality in all matters is maintained
- To produce other information as required and to carry out other duties either directly or indirectly as requested by your manager from time to time
- Compliance to standard operation guidelines

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Qualification in Logistic, Supply Chain Management or similar
- Must be able to prepare logístical stats
- Analyze potential problems in deliveries/logistics and embark on corrective measures
- Able to relate well to people and understand what motivates them
- Must be able to manage office team, operators and trainers
- Must possess a calm demeanor
- Have experience in more than one organisation, having been exposed to different types of services
- Coordinated logistic deliveries and drivers
- Must have worked with and managed logistics suppliers
- Must be able to motivate the logistics team (office team, operators and trainers) to get the best performance out of them
