- Detailed Description Provide secretariat support services to allocated SARB Board committees, GEC and other internal committees and subsidiaries registered in terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008 and the Corporation for Public Deposit Act 46 of 1984. - Assist with arrangements of the SARB Shareholders’ Annual Ordinary General Meeting (AGM) and the subsidiaries AGMs. - Assist with the orientation/induction of new Board members and provide administrative and logístical support to the directors of the SARB Board. - Ensure timeous production of the SARB’s Annual Report and that of the Corporation for Public Deposit for presentation to all stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, corporate governance practices, terms of reference, policies and delegations of authority. - Engage with external and internal stakeholders, including board members and the executives of the SARB in order to ensure the provision of optimal service. - Manage the performance and development of own team members. Job Requirements a Bachelor degree or a relevant qualification accredited by the Chartered Institute of Secretaries; and - five to eight years of experience in company/corporate secretariat service environments. Additional requirements include: - industry, business and organisational knowledge and skill; - quality assurance knowledge and skill; - SARB Act 90 of 1989, Regulations framed in terms of the SARB Act, policies and procedures and the South African Constitution Act 108 of 1996; - Companies Act 71 of 2008; - building and maintaining relationships; - planning and organising skills; - resilience; - attention to detail; - dedication to tasks; - knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures; - ability to plan and organise events; - problem-solving skills; and - professionalism.
