Inbound Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator

**Job description**
A retail company based in Muizenberg is looking to employ an inbound logistics and supply chain coordinator.
**INBOUND LOG & SUPPLY CHAIN CO-ORDINATOR**
The Inbound Log and Supply Chain Co-Ordinator is responsible for the development and execution of strategic inbound routing plans and dynamic load planning using company assets and third-party common carriers. This position is a support function that works closely with Scheduling, Procurement, Production, suppliers, and freight carriers.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Inbound Order tracking Management**
- Liaise with Global Procurement on production readiness and update required systems accordingly.
- Develop and implement process improvements
- Tracks and communicates revenue and performance results
- Liaise with all 3PL partners on Customs Clearance and final delivery processes to ensure product is available to promise.
- Liaise with all 3PL Logistics partners on container/shipments off-loading and scanning processes to ensure OTIF is met.
- Manage the inbound loads and coordinate with production facilities for accurate arrival times
- Develop and implement process improvements
**Manage Internal Partner Relationships**
- Plan, lead and own weekly meetings on stock movements and availability with respective brands.
- Develop and process for Stock management and alignment with respective brands and 3PL and ensure stock accuracy between systems.
- Manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Costings, delayed time and on time delivery
- Monitor Developments and New Technologies in Supply Chain Logistics
**Reporting**
- Report issues aligned with any service failures that arise and propose potential opportunities.

**Minimum Requirements**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience in Global Procurement
- Customs and/or Logistics experience an added advantage
- SAP experience an added advantage
- Organized and deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong administration skills
- Highly numerate and able to deal with large volumes of data
- Sound understanding of supplier profiles
- Must have good problem-solving skills
- Understanding of supply chain processes and concepts
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment
- Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality
- Dependable, punctual and able to work flexible working hours
