Credit Control Manager - MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK PORTUGUESE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Credit Controller is responsible for utilizing effective methods and tools in successfully following up on and receiving customer payments

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaboration and information sharing with FSSC and business operations
- Follow up on overdue customer payments
- Maintain customer feedback and expected payment dates
- Receive and communicate payment advices
- Regular follow up and resolution of pending items preventing payments from customers
- Initiate and communicate refund requests
- Monthly resolutions of CODs, unidentified and unallocated items
- Filing and maintaining documents and records
- Assist in external and internal audits
- Assist with adhoc requests from Management
- Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager
PROFILE
Education
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Financial Management / Business Administrative qualification will be an advantage and/or proven years of credit control functions, knowledge, skills and experience sufficient to be recognized as a qualification through - Recognition of Prior Learning
- Proficient on MS Office, especially with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel programs
- Fluent in English & Portuguese (French - desirable)
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Collections function
- Understanding of accounts receivables recording
- Experience working in a large corporate’s finance department

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
