**Technical Writer Advert ( 3 month contract -Johannesburg based Hybrid role)**

**The opportunity**:
We are currently seeking highly motivated **Technical Writer** to ensure that the appropriate technical and project management documentation is produced for projects in the capital portfolio and that all documentation produced is professionally presented, with clear and concise language that is appropriate to the intended audience.

**About the Role / Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that technical and complex information is conveyed simply, accurately and effectively to project stakeholders
- Ensure that documentation prepared to inform, instruct or influence, purposes is presented in such a way that the reader clearly understands what is expected of them in interacting with the particular document type
- Ensure that the correct templates are used, and that that content is formatted in line with the applicable standard for that document type
- Ensure consistency in all the ancillary documentation produced to achieve a defined outcome (ie IPR, Steering Committee etc)
- Ensure an exceptional standard of quality for all documentation produced and issued from the PMO Drive version and revision control of project documentation (reports, memos, technical and design documents; and project management artefacts)
- Produce high-quality, professional documentation
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and SME’s to ensure accuracy and completeness of content
- Develop content to a defined template and standard (or develop if the required template does not exist)
- Distribute documents to the relevant stakeholders
- Develop and deliver according to a schedule for the documentation required for each project
- Perform document management and control (revision and versions) for the relevant documents
- Conduct quality reviews of project documentation
- Distribute project documents to the correct stakeholders and facilitate signatures.
- Comply with the Delegation of Authority process and stipulations.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Undergraduate degree library/record/information management, Journalism, English or related field
- Additional education or certification in project management or administration is advantageous (e.g. CAPM/Prince 2/PMP)
- 5 years’ proven work experience as a technical writer on mining projects in a complex operating environment
- Experience with Microsoft product suite
- Experience with ThinkCell beneficial.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in dynamic environments and adapt to changing processes
- Ability to work on multiple projects with complete stakeholder matrices
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with governance, change management, enterprise architecture and business improvement frameworks and methodologies
- French proficiency beneficial
- Good understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
