We are looking for an experienced, passionate, responsible, and proud Operations Controller in the Transport Industry.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant business qualifications
- 5 to 7 years' experience in a similar position
- Well-spoken with the ability to communicate well at all levels
- Good analytical and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- **Have previously worked in a similar role within the Abnormal Transport industry.**:

- **Ability to communicate and coordinate Truck Drivers**:

- Ability to function well under pressure
- Ability to manage time productively
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail and procedures is essential
- Good conflict resolution skills to resolve queries
- Ability to function cooperatively and supportively within a Team

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Arrange and prepare all documentation required in the movement of loads
- Prioritize and coordinate daily schedules
- Ensure that loading of loads is in line with prescribed standards
- **Extensive geographical knowledge of South Africa and surrounding countries.**:

- Communicate with various internal departments
- Experience concerning petty cash transactions
- Monitor turn-around times
- Verify and update customers as to the progress of the loads
- Implement procedures about the loading, signing of loads, loading requirements, etc
- Monitor drivers, de-briefing after each completed trip
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company policies
- Ensure vehicles and trailers are always properly maintained and clean
- Sound experience with regard to preparing trailers by the loading requirements
- Analyse and review actual service performance against service level agreements and make recommendations
- Manage and review department employees
- Customer retention
- Increase revenue year-on-year
- Ability to source, negotiate, and open accounts with potential new customers
- Monitor and manage expenses of trucks as well as driver overtime
