Overview Job Title: Control Room Operator Location: Wadeville Position Summary: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Control Room Operators to join our team in Wadeville. The successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring and operating control room equipment, ensuring the safety and security of our premises. Responsibilities Operate and monitor control room equipment and systems. Respond promptly and efficiently to security alerts and incidents. Maintain accurate logs and records of control room activities. Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with clients over the phone. Handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure. Qualifications and Experience Minimum qualification: Matric or equivalent. Proven experience in a control room environment. Valid PSIRA certification with a Grade C or higher. Proficiency in computer operations, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Experience in offsite monitoring is highly desirable. Requirements Availability to work in shifts, including willingness to work overtime as needed. Strong communication and telephone skills. Ability to learn new software and systems; familiarity with the Listener program is a plus, though training will be provided. Residency near Wadeville/Germiston area is preferred.
