JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Specialist Trainer is responsible for delivering high-impact training and coaching interventions that align with regulatory requirements (e.g., FAIS, TCF), enhance product knowledge, and support performance improvement across business units. The role includes digital learning integration, face-to-face training & assessments, continuous skills development, and fostering a culture of learning.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct product knowledge training and accreditation as per business unit requirements
- Manage soft skills training per business unit
- Deliver ad-hoc training based on business needs
- Conduct soft skills & sales training as per business unit requirements
- Update training material to meet the business & regulatory standards
- Provide post-training reports & feedback to business units
- Identify training needs in collaboration with business leads Unit/on an ongoing basis
- Co-ordination, administration of the E-learning system, and in-person training schedules & logistics
- Contribute to continuous improvement of learning and development
- Communicate progress and outcomes of learning initiatives
- Report monthly to relevant stakeholders
- Daily administration
- Schedule and conduct coaching sessions in all call centres
- Identifying areas of strength and improvement in individual staff and communicating this to managers
- Handling queries and resolving problems when they arise within the Business Unit
- Plan and Organise training correctly and timeously
- Ensure training delivery is aligned to FSCA regulations, TCF principles and business requirements
- Ensure accurate feedback on delegates' progress is communicated to the business
- Conduct knowledge and skills assessments
- Support onboarding with structured induction programmes
- Support DOFA management by tracking compliance deadlines (RE, qualification, COB).
EDUCATION/MINIMUM REQUREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12 /Matric
- Qualification in Training and Development NQF 4 or 5 (Advantageous)
- 2 Years+ experience in short-term insurance coaching/training
- RE1 & RE5 / FAIS qualification
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Learning and Development
- Experience in Coaching, Training and Development in a call centre environment
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Passion for Learning and Development
- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to work effectively with large datasets
- Familiarity with digital learning tools (Articulate, MS teams, Learner Management systems)
- Experience in training and coaching employees and representatives to obtain their RE qualification for all FSP
