A company based in Pretoria with experience in Engineering maintenance projects is looking for a **Unit Controller Technician**for a 4 year contract in Ellisras.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12/N3 plus NQF5 Certificate in Power Plant Process Operations as a minimum qualification, OR NQF6 Occupational Certificate in Coal Fired Power Plant Process Controller
- Years of experience: 3-5 years working as a Unit Controller

**Skills and Competencies**
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and communicate
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Power Plant Controller
- PSR(Plant Safety Rules) Knowledge

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the unit operates within all acceptable Quality, Environmental and Safety standards
- Execute and supervise all major operational procedures, including complex unit cold start-ups and hot restarts.
- Authorize and oversee the safe isolation (electrical and mechanical) of equipment for maintenance, ensuring all energy sources are secured.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all significant operations, events, and parameter changes.
- Manage real-time unit load changes.
- Operating plant as per technical specifications
