A company based in Pretoria with experience in Engineering maintenance projects is looking for a **Senior Unit Plant Operator** for a 4 year contract in Ellisras.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12/N3 plus NQF4 National Certificate in Coal Fired Power Plant Process Operations as a minimum qualification
- Years of experience: 3-5 years working as a Power Plant Operator

**Skills and Competencies**
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Coal Fired Power Plant Experience is essential

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute electrical isolations and issue safety documents for LV and HV systems.
- Prepare plant for service
- Inspect plant/equipment after maintenance has been completed
- Conduct risk assessment on critical operating activities
- Ensure full compliance.
- Perform switching schedules and manage electrical energy sources.
- Work closely with the control room and maintenance teams to enable safe work.
