**Managing Operations**:

- Set and communicate targets for each branch and team.
- Monitor origination volumes and provide feedback to Sales Managers.
- Assist with exceptions and motivations.
- Conduct branch visits, meetings with Sales managers and consultants.
- Monitor and ensure that Sales monthly targets are met through implementation of sales and marketing plans.
- Drive origination and manage efficiencies
- Manage costs to budget - individual branches and region
- Constant review of processes and procedures with the aim to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the branches within the region
- Implementation of expense budget for each branch and region. Review of reports for day to day running of the business.
- Ensure culture and environment is conducive to branches operating effectively.
- Development of dynamic strategies for each branch ensuring the alignment to the overall company goals; vision and values

**Sales origination and revenue**:

- Develop processes and systems to define the mode of operations within the unit.
- Analyze all aspects of the loan book, monitor monthly sales, business in the pipeline and identify inefficiencies, and formulate remedial actions where gaps exist.
- Budget in line with regional prospects and profile of the target market.
- Position and enable the brand reach for visibility to existing and potential customers.
- Strengthen the market position, grow sales volumes using additional product offerings inclusive of GEPF, Housing access loans, Money, integrate and unlock value in Ancillary product offerings (Personal Lending, Transfer Assist, Quick Cash, CAP), Further lending and channel referrals to HOC and Life.
- Devise and implement, effective lead generation channels, follow through mechanism right up to conversion.
- Ensure that origination volumes and targets are achieved through direct sales channels.
- Contribute towards the delivery of healthy return on investment to shareholders.
- Gauge client needs and suggest new products, where emerging needs in the market surface.

**Leading people**:

- Input into marketing plans for branches and evaluation of SAHL products
- Attract, develop and retain high caliber Sales force and Support staff.
- Create a culture of coaching, wherein employees understand what the end goal of the regions, Sales division and SAHL is, thus linking their contribution to the bigger whole.
- Develop extensive product knowledge, technical expertise and social skills within the region.
- Communicate effectively and provide regular feedback on performance and behavior.
- Display authentic leadership by the expression of own example
- Build an inclusive and diverse culture, where every employee thrives and is valued irrespective of background

**Managed Risk and Compliance**:

- 100 % Adherence to all company policies and procedures, include FAIS / FICA in line with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) requirements.
- Achieve clean audit reports from Internal Audit.
- Anticipate and understand possible risks within the portfolio, mitigate or manage these effectively.
- Forge a collaborative relationship with Credit - while enabling Credit to maintain an independent assessment role.
- Demonstrate ethical leadership in dealings with potential partners.
- Align SAHL, with mortgage originators / estate agents who have sound ethics and are socially responsive and safeguard the reputation and image of SAHL.
- Position risk appetite and controls to the requirements of the Credit Committee, Board Audit Committee and other funders and Rating Agencies.

**Client focused**:

- Drive a high-level client experience through the branches by keeping branches engaged and by enabling the teams
- Drive the amazing service ethos at all the branches
- Support regional sales managers with client queries
- Ensure the happiness and retention of clients
- Keep a regional record of client milestones, send messages / notes at least once a year to recognise such special dates (not unless Client Experience does something similar)
- Ensure that clients keep SAHL top of mind, thus giving repeat business and or referring potential customers, and extending goodwill to the next family generations

**Marketing/ PR**:

- Take the cue from Marketing on material messaging that enables brand visibility
- Assess and understand local market dynamics and share input with the Marketing department
- Develop and implement regional and branch marketing plans
- Develop and implement PR plan for the region

Manage marketing and PR plans to within budget

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales management: 10 years (preferred)
