**Job Description: Client Service Specialist**

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a team to develop and grow the Client Services function. You will proactively develop client relationships, introduce cross-selling opportunities to other teams and pay a key role in growing the business.

In addition, you will provide a service to clients in terms of providing reports and processing requests related to their investments. You will also supply investment related information to clients that will lead to new business and ultimately an increase in AUM.

You will contribute to the design and generation of statistical reports to track performance of the Client Service function.

An ability to provide exceptional client service is key to this role.

Job Duties
- Work with Client Services team to develop and implement the Client Service strategy.
- Proactively provide assistance to clients that leads to sales.
- Introduce cross-selling opportunities to other teams and follow up to monitor success rates.
- Obtain new business.
- Generate and distribute monthly and quarterly reports and surveys to clients.
- Discuss mandates with institutional clients and consultants.
- Respond to client queries professionally and timeously in order to build and enhance the reputation of the firm, and provide clients / potential clients with sufficient information for them to feel secure to invest.
- Respond to queries relating to assets under management, gross and net returns, total investment costs, holdings and attribution contribution.
- Process new investments, disinvestments, switch requests and update personal information.
- Assist with coordinating the completion of Operational Due Diligences and work with teams to ensure information is obtained timeously.
- Complete Due Diligence documentation and client information questionnaires.
- Work with Head of Distribution to build and thereafter maintain a dashboard to report to Exco on client queries, results and sales.
- Work with Head of Distribution to design other statistical reports that enable performance metrics to be tracked.

**Qualifications**
- BCom (Honours) in Investment Management is preferred
- RE5
- CFP is an advantage
- Mathematics in Grade 12

**Experience and Skills**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the asset management field is preferred
- Experience working with institutional and retail clients
- Understand unit trusts, segregated portfolios, Reg 28 and Board Notice 90 regulations
- Understanding of financial planning
- A strong interest in investments and the financial markets
- Excel skills with macros and Excel automation an advantage
- Highly numerate
- Ability to communicate with and deal with clients
- Strong verbal and written skills
