**Role Description**
The Procurement Master Data and Reporting Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and maintaining accurate procurement data and generating insightful reports for informed decision-making. They are responsible for overseeing master data integrity, analyzing procurement trends, and providing actionable insights to optimize procurement strategies.
**Key Performance Responsibilities**:
- Master Data Management: Maintain and update procurement master data in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements.
- Reporting: Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports on procurement performance, spend analysis, vendor performance, and other key metrics.
- Dashboard Development: Design and create dashboards to visualize procurement KPI's and metrics for stakeholders at various levels.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes based on data-driven insights and best practices.
- Vendor Management: Support vendor evaluation and performance management initiatives through data analysis and reporting.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and best practice.
Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans, initiatives, and objectives based on analysis and stakeholder input.
**Key Performance Criteria**:
- Data Accuracy: Maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity in procurement master data.
**Master Data Vendor & Client**:
- Creation of vendors, maintenance of vendors, blocking vendors
- Bank account verification with finance
- Compliance checks for new suppliers
- Accurate online document storage.
- BBBEE capturing & reporting
- Approved vendor list publishing & maintenance
**Product Master Data Management**:
- Creation of product master data
- Maintenance of product master data in the ERP
- Strict adherence to the Barrows product naming convention
- Maintenance of additions to the Barrows naming convention
- Ensuring zero duplicate product codes exist in the ERP
**Price List Master Data**:
- Creation & maintenance of price lists
- Strict adherence to the Barrows product naming convention
- Maintenance of additions to the Barrows naming convention
- Maintenance of product master data in the ERP
- Ensuring zero duplicate product codes exist in the ERP
**Analytical Skills**:
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Reporting Quality: Deliver clear, concise, and insightful reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Process Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and efficiency based on data analysis.
- Timeliness: Meet deadlines for regular reporting and ad-hoc data requests.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Provide valuable insights and reports that contribute to improved procurement outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure all procurement reporting and data management activities adhere to relevant policies and regulations.
- Strategic Alignment: Contribute to the development of strategic plans that align with organizational goals and priorities.
**Minimum Qualifications and System Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement data management, reporting, or analytics.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage), and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
