- Responsible for the short and long-term planning and management of the Human Resources and Learning & Development function in the Area and ensures consistency of approach in Compensation & Benefits, Staffing, Learning & Development and ongoing issues related to the business units and labour relations.
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and directing HR programs and projects in the Area to align with global HR initiatives and objectives.
- Prepare and manage the Area’s HR budget and ensure fiscal management of expenses within the approved budget.
- Support global HR and L&D projects as communicated by the global HR/L&D team.
- Oversee and manage pay systems within the Area including bonuses and salary increases; monitor pay systems for effectiveness and cost containment.
- Ensure legal compliance with current applicable legislations regarding minimum wage, overtime, working hours etc.
- Establish and lead the recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit, hire and retain the Area’s workforce.
- Track recruitment KPIs and suggest improvements, as needed.
- Support the company talent frameworks including performance management, succession planning etc.
- Own and drive the L&D strategy and plans for the Area, including overseeing the L&D budget.
- Ensure that global programmes are rolled out within the Area in compliance with global standards and guidelines.
- Develop and mentor Area and business unit Human Resources team members to build competency.
- Assure compliance with various governmental regulations and stay informed of current legislation.
- Ensure HR Audits are completed for all business units and outstanding issues are addressed.
- Travel to all properties in Area regularly to ensure compliance with Company standards, policies and procedures; develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Ensure the implementation of HR Company Standards in the Area’s properties.
- Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines.
