Creative Lead

Tekkie Town is seeking to employ a Creative Lead who owns the creative vision and strategy for the brands marketing / promotional campaigns and key strategic projects.
The role oversees the design, artwork, and creative outputs as well as guides creative teams (Designers, Copywriters, DTP operators, Digital Content Specialists). The role will collaborate with photographers, agencies and any external parties that assist with the creative design direction ensuring that the strategic business goals set are creatively demonstrated.
This role is responsible for ensuring that creative elements align with the brand “bible”, brand strategy, campaign objectives, CI, customer messaging and overall business / operational execution.
This role works closely with Visual Merchandising teams to enable in store execution as well as all other marketing teams to assist / enable digital and direct marketing, ATL, BTL and any other media needs as a full marketing campaign solution / deliverable.

- Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver within deadlines and budget.
- Highly collaborative, able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understanding of creative budgeting and ROI measurement.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms and their creative requirements.
**Qualifications**:
- A relevant Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related creative field.
- Honours degree or relevant postgraduate qualification will be preferred
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in a creative role
- 2-5 years in a leadership or Head of Creative position, preferably within the retail, agency, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors
- Demonstrable track record of developing and executing successful, impactful creative campaigns that have driven commercial results. (portfolio of work)
- Experience managing and mentoring creative teams, including designers, copywriters, and production artists.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external agencies/vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of graphic design, typography, photography, video production, and digital design principles.
- Expertise in creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with project management tools.
- Strong understanding of current and emerging creative trends, digital marketing landscapes, and content creation best practices.
- Knowledge of print production processes, pre-press, and digital asset management.
- Understanding of data-driven creative optimisation and A/B testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant advertising regulations and consumer protection laws.
