The main purpose of this position is to collect and deliver packages, documents, messages and other items between offices or departments within the South African Reserve Bank (the Bank) or outside the Bank as needed. Detailed Description Organise oneself to ensure that work allocated is completed within the set time and defined standards. - Deliver high quality and relevant work by performing messenger task activities that involve to: - receive packages, documents, messages and other items to be delivered, and delivery instructions; - sort items to be delivered according to recipients/destinations; - deliver messages and items to the allocated department(s)/offices; - obtain signatures for the delivered goods including recipient’s responses to messages; - record information, such as the times received and delivered, and responses from recipients; - assist with administrative duties in the mailing services; and - ensure that the delivery is done an efficient manner. - Identify and solve defined messenger task-related problems. - Display service orientation with recipients of mail deliveries or other stakeholders. Job Requirements a minimum of a Grade 12 or equivalent. - a driver’s licence will be an added advantage. - a minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience in similar environment will be an added advantage.
