**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- **Key Job Outputs**:

- Carry out any general maintenance/fabric repairs and building maintenance.
- Perform a wide variety of tasks involving the use of different hand tools in the area of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, tiling work, flooring and facility maintenance and repair.
- Perform maintenance and repair of facilities, including pumps, generators, UPS and other equipment.
- Perform repaving, patching, overlaying, and crack sealing repair of asphalt.
- Ensure that a work order is received for all work taking place, no work is to be carried out unless a call has been logged with the Helpdesk.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance tasks allocated by the Helpdesk/Facilities Manager
- Undertake planned reactive maintenance tasks and repairs allocated by the Helpdesk/Facilities Manager
- Ensure that best operating practice is applied when undertaking maintenance tasks/repairs.
- Provide a list of required materials to Facilities Manager to enable successful execution of maintenance tasks.
- Complete and issue work orders to helpdesk operator on a daily basis.
- Assist in keeping the workshops clean and tidy at all times.
- Perform minor repairs to all plumbing fixtures and fittings.
- Perform carpentry, painting, and any other maintenance tasks as required.
- Perform minor electrical tasks as required.
- Setting up of TV’s and Audio Visual equipment.
- All staff to fully adhere to TFS house rules and Occupational Health & Safety OHS Act.
- Must be able to perform after hour’s breakdowns when required.
- Ensuring Generator is filled with Diesel at all times including after hours.
- Monitoring the Diesel generator to ensure smooth running thereof during load shedding as well as after hours.
- Assist with setting up of meeting rooms
- Inspections (Daily, Weekly and Monthly, Report to be submitted, Generator, UPS, EHS Inspection, Etc.)
- Attend to logged calls on myMCS Help Desk within timeline.
- Attend to furniture requests and repairs.
- Complete daily checklist for conference rooms.
- Assist with minor moves and churn as required.
- Relief driver when necessary.
- Adhere to the DSFM’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures of as applicable to this position
- Perform/carry out any other reasonable requests as stipulated by management.

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- 3 -5 years maintenance experience in Technical i.e. Electrical, Plumbing, Air-conditioning, UPS, Generators, Audio Visual etc.
- Good knowledge of electrical fixtures, fittings, repairs and maintenance thereof.
- Knowledge of tools and materials used in the assigned area of responsibility.
