**Construction Foreman**

**Introduction**

Our organisation seeks to appoint a qualified and experienced Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers on site. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, this will be a key person for the completion of the project.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
- Supervise workers.
- Manage sub-contractors.
- Order material.
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate and assist in first line resolution of disputes among workers.
- Guarantee that all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
- Resolve problems when they arise.
- Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 year experience as a construction foreman.
- Post Matric qualification in civil engineering, building construction or relevant field.
- solid background and experience in commercial building (i.e., renovations and new projects).
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSH guidelines.
- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership, communication and reporting skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and good physical health.
