**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**

**OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES**
- Ensure all sample are analysed to the specific standard operating procedure.
- Ensure that all relative sample information is entered correctly and efficiently into computer systems (LIMS, SAP).
- Ensure that the correct preparation principles are applied before assaying and sampling.
- Perform continuous control monitoring to ensure that processes are running smoothly.
- Issue certificates for the samples when of the specified standards.

**SAFETY AND HEALTH**
- Wear the correct PPE’s at all times and ensure that SHEQ procedures are strictly followed and advise team members accordingly.
- Always ensure full compliance with all SHEQ procedures with particular adherence to chemical management safety procedures.

**TRAINING**
- Train other analyst when on the job training is required.

**METAL ACCOUNTING**
- Ensure metal returns are done in an effective way.
- The incumbent will be required to operate with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Be prepared to work overtime if required.
