**Job Purpose**:
An exciting job opportunity in Bidvest International Loistics within the fowarding department to arrange shipping of customers orders from the supplier pro actively, use inititiave ,and ensure communication is done at high levels to Clients, Importers and Agents.

**Experiance**:
At least 2 years experience as a Forwarding Controller or similar position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Upon ongoing receipts from the client, all orders to be captured onto CW and monitored with agent and client given feedback
- Track indents until arrival keeping clients fully updated regarding the status of their cargo monitoring any delays.Closely monitor transhipments and keep clients updated
- To give advise regarding the most suitable and economic modes of transport within the time constraints set by the importer
- Continually strive to build strong confident relationships with our clients
- Maintain good lines of communication with the overseas network of agents
- Checking of agents/ carrier freight invoices against rates sheets and client agreed rates. Follow process for credit were discrepancies occur
- Ensure Internal SOPs are regularly reviewed with clients' input and updated accordingly where applicable
- Prompt responses to client enquiries and or queries
- Strict adherence to BCS (Business Compliance System)
- Adequate feedback in respect of any operational or service related issues at departmental meeting
- Follow the RCG Process
- Assist and back up colleagues desk adequately
- Regular follow up with co-loaders, shipping lines, and unpack depots to obtain SOB's charges, etc and arrange for groupage container unpacks
- Ensure all necessary documents, SOB details, etc are handed to the Sea Import Department and outside clearing agent timeously so as not to attract any storage charges
- All necessary data is captured correctly and timeously on Cargo Wise and invoices are processed and handed to Import department and outside agent timeously
- Shipments / Consols are pre-captured at all times and ANF's are sent out no later thank 5 working days prior to vessels arrival
- Monitor and ensure detailed Forex exposure advised to Head Office daily
- Prepare statement of charges
- Pro-forma invoices are completed prior to vessel arrival
- Ability to handle the entire administrative de-group function for all documents received from Over seas agent for the allocated lanes
- FQMS queries
- Rejections from Entries
