**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
To take a lead role in the development of McCain Deli business and develop strategies to maximise and capitalise on sales opportunities and ensure the on-going achievement of strategic goals and objectives, particularly Volume and Gross Profit. The main responsibility will be to develop the width of business beyond a fry business through using McCain’s network to develop on snacking OOH and occasions.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:

- Achieve annual Gross Profit, Nett Sales Value and Volume targets, through the development and implementation of sales plans, innovation and communication plans.
- To manage the assigned Customers in line with the direction of the Manager so as to ensure category growth for customer and Company.
- Manage Gross Profit, Nett Sales Value and Volume in terms of on-going analysis, investigation and reporting on sales information from Sales Analytics tool.
- Budgetary and P&L responsibilities including formulating budgets, revenue forecasts etc. ensuring profitability at all times;
- Own forecast for Deli and review on a monthly basis with the demand team.
- Provide support to the Manager, with accurate feedback on Deli chain customers, industry trends and competitor activity.
- Manage pricing accordingly in line with strategy

**Develop relationships with key customers at senior level;**
- Implement monthly, and quarterly visits to key customers at regional and head office level
- Plan and implement customer, relationship, retention and development strategies;
- Conduct cuttings and portfolio innovation reviews on a quarterly basis to ensure quality and innovative solutions
- Regular visit to store level to engage operators

**Collate reports;**
- Provide input into weekly /monthly manager reports in terms of sales performance, against KPA’s, issues and actions.
- Reporting on open orders, stock availability and problem areas

**Network and create cross-functional integration;**
- Interact with all departments within company up to commercial director level
- Ensure alignment of the 360 degree matrix between Sales, finance, Supply Chain and production, to ensure that we understand interrelationships and foresee problems that can impact sales performance
- Trade visits are key to understanding quality, operational issues and opportunity to train operators to ensure standards are maintained.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar Sales role FMCG/Food service / Retail, 2 Years’ experience across multiple channels the sales. (Key Accounts, Operations)
