**Job Purpose**:
An exciting position is available within BIL to control procedures and process the flow of cargo from the time that an order is placed on an overseas supplier until the goods are delivered to the importer. Includes all Bidvest International Logistics(BIL) operational functions in a specific department/allocated section/at the client’s site.

**Experience**:
2-5 years
- Pharma Supply Chain knowledge and experience.
- CargoWise knowledge - Intermediate/Expert 2. Previous experience as a Air & Seafreight Import & Export Client Controller essential with a good working knowledge of all aspects of the above.
- Ability to be very adaptable, as will be covering all the Inhouse Controller roles, when they are on leave, and when in the office, will be hands on with all required functions.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and written skills with the ability to liaise professionally at all levels is essential.
- Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and after hours as the need arises.
- Highly developed negotiation skills.
- Sound planning and organisational skills are essential.
- Good working knowledge of vessels/Groupage agent’s procedures and tariff structures including landside charges, overstay procedures, fines/rents, demurrage/custody charges, storage, cross haul and detention charges.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1) Forwarding & clearing of import cargo in accordance with client requirements

2) Forwarding of Export cargo in accordance with client requirements

3) Ensuring that all Invoices from BIL are checked and processed, presented to Adcock Ingram within agreed KPI

4) Ensure all reports are updated and sent withing the required time specified by the client and by BIL

5) Following up and escalate where possible with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that the client is kept updated timeously in terms of their shipments.
