The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various functional areas, including operations, marketing, human resources, events, research, communications, and membership.

Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth functioning of the association and drive its growth by effectively managing these key areas. This role provides the opportunity to demonstrate and advance the Associations values in both internal and external engagements, and requires a strategic mindset, excellent leadership abilities, comprehensive operational planning.

**Key resonsibilities**

Co-develop the action plans with the CEO based on strategic objectives identified by the Board

Lead the development and monitoring of the operational budget

Develop and execute recurring projects in line with the approved budget

Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain association members, with enhancements to the membership value proposition in line with the organisation''s mission, vision and strategic objectives

Oversee the Research and Communications Manager in the annual generation of the association''s initiatives, publications, and member communications

Collaborate with research teams and external partners to develop relevant thought leadership content and research publications

Events Management and collaborate with event planning teams and the Events Manager to ensure seamless execution and exceptional attendee experiences

Oversee the Training Manager in the annual generation of the training initiatives and communications

Oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations and develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and promote a positive work environment

Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the association''s initiatives, events, and membership benefits

Operations Management and develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation

**Requirements**:
A post-graduate degree or equivalent qualification;
Five - eight years relevant working experience, with an additional three years experience managing a team of professionals.

Knowledge of financial services and /or fund management industry practices, trends, and regulations.

Excellent project management skills
