The Role Chief Operations Officer This role is central to shaping operational strategy and ensuring organisational performance. The Chief Operations Officer will lead cross-functional teams, manage partnerships, and drive business strategies that enhance efficiency, productivity, and financial stability. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the CEO and Executive team to set and drive the organisational vision and operational strategy Develop business strategies aligned with short- and long-term objectives Lead and optimise operational processes to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery Oversee company operations and employee productivity while building a strong, inclusive culture Establish and analyse management reports to support informed decision-making Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Negotiate supplier agreements and manage contracts to align with company strategy Strengthen customer relationships, ensuring service excellence, retention, and growth opportunities Foster organisational culture centred on equity, continuous improvement, and innovation About You Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or equivalent Minimum 10 years of experience in the transport industry, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role Strong knowledge of diverse business functions such as supply chain, finance, and customer service Experience in aviation and road freight is advantageous Skilled in compliance, risk management, financial systems, and strategic business management Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with proven ability to develop and mentor teams Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, data/financial analytics, and cost/revenue management Comfortable working with diverse teams and engaging outside core business hours when needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
