Duties/Pligte
Die sinvolle integrasie van leertegnologieë in programme en modules in vennootskap met die Fakulteit Lettere en Sosiale Wetenskappe (FLSW).

Dit sluit in die ondersteuning vir hoëgehalte onderrig en leer en vir die professionele ontwikkeling van akademici met 'n fokus op die gebruik van leertegnologieë in leer en

onderrig (insluitend gemengdeleer, aanlyn leer en hibriede leer) en programvernuwingsaktiwiteite. Pligte sal insluit:

- Samewerking met kollegas aan fakulteits
- en institusionele programvernuwingsprojekte;
- Die voorsiening van advies, ondersteuning en opleiding aan dosente;
- Ontwerp van digitale leer
- en onderrighulpbronne;
- Tegniese en administratiewe ondersteuning verwant aan projekte en opleiding;
- Monitering, evaluering en navorsing;
- Bestuur van 'n professionele leerontwerpdiens binne die FLSW met fokus op volledige aanlyn of hibriedeleer-modules of programme en aanlyn kortkursusse;
- Ontwikkeling van en navorsing oor die Sentrum vir Leertegnologieë en die US se benadering tot Oop Opvoedkundige Hulpbronne (OERs).

The meaningful integration of learning technologies in programmes and modules in partnership with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).

This includes support for quality learning and teaching and for the professional development of academics in the arts, humanitities and/or social sciences, with a focus on

the use of learning technologies in teaching and learning (including blended, online and hybrid learning) and programme renewal activities. Duties will include:

- Collaborating with colleagues on faculty and institutional programme renewal projects;
- Providing advice, support and training to lecturers;
- Digital learning and teaching resources design;
- Technical and administrative support relating to projects and training;
- Monitoring, evaluation and research;
- Managing a professional learning design service in the FASS with the focus on fully online/ hybrid learning modules or programmes and online short courses;
- Developing and researching the Centre for Learning Technologies' and SU's approach to Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Meestersgraad in die Sosiale Wetenskappe;
- Vyf jaar toepaslike werkservaring aan 'n Hoër Onderwys-instelling, insluitende uitgebreide voor
- en nagraadse doseerervaring;
- Uitgebreide ervaring in akademiese ontwikkeling in die Hoër Onderwys met die fokus op opvoedkundige-/ leertegnologieë / gemengdeleer-benaderings ten opsigte

van programvernuwing in 'n Sosiale Wetenskappe-omgewing;
- Uitgebreide ervaring en vaardigheid in die gebruik en ondersteuning van die Moodle Leerderondersteuning Bestuurstelsel;
- Uitgebreide ervaring en vaardigheid in die gebruik en ondersteuning van die MS Office-pakket, die Adobe-pakket, Camtasia en iSpring leertegnologieë, sowel as

Mac-sagteware;
- Bewese ervaring as 'n leeradviseur/koördineerder;
- Ervaring in die ontwerp en ontwikkeling van MOOC**'**s en/of volledige aanlyn kursusse;
- Uitstekende mondelinge, aanbiedings
- en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede;
- Sterk interpersoonlike vaardighede en die vermoë om in 'n uiteenlopende omgewing te werk;
- Projekbestuurservaring;
- Bewese vaardigheid in die ontwerp van digitale onderrig
- en leermateriaal (bv. videos, SCORM, podsendings, interaktiewe digitale materiaal);
- Bewese begrip van programvernuwing in 'n Sosiale Wetenskappe-omgewing;
- 'n Bewese akademiese rekord en toepaslike akademiese publikasies.

**Job requirements**:

- Master's degree in the Social Sciences;
- Five years' relevant working experience at a Higher Education institution, including extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience;
- Extensive experience in academic development in Higher Education with regards to Educational / Learning Technologies / Blended Learning approaches to

programme renewal in a Social Sciences environment;
- Extensive experience and proficiency in the use and support of the Moodle Learning Management System;
- Extensive experience and proficiency in the use and support of the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite, Camtasia and iSpring learning technologies, as well as Mac

software;
- Substantial experience in serving as a Learning Advisor/Coordinator;
- Experience in the design and development of MOOCs and / or fully online courses;
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the abilitiy to work in a diverse environment;
- Project management experience;
- Proven digital design experience (e.g. videos, SCORM, podcasts, interactive digital content);
- Proven knowledge of programme renewal in a Social Sciences environment;
- A proven academic record and relevant academic publications.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Kwalifikasie in akademiese ontwikkeling, opvoedkunde, of opvoedkundige tegnologie of verwante veld;
- Ervaring in monitering en evaluering;
