**Job Title: Junior Fleet Controller**

**Location: Johannesburg, South Africa**

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Fleet Controller based in Johannesburg, where you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our truck fleet, driver management, and performance optimization.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Fleet Maintenance and Optimization**:

- Regularly inspect and maintain our fleet of trucks to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime.

**Driver Management**:

- Recruit, train, and onboard new drivers.
- Monitor and manage driver performance, ensuring they adhere to safety and compliance regulations.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to encourage drivers to meet performance targets.

**Route Planning and Optimization**:

- Plan and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption.
- Track and report on route deviations, delays, and incidents to minimize disruptions.

**Inventory Control**:

- Maintain accurate records of inventory and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Implement inventory management procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.

**Communication and Reporting**:

- Maintain open communication with drivers and other team members.
- Generate regular reports on fleet performance, driver performance, and operational efficiency.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience in logistics, fleet management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of truck maintenance and repair procedures.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of drivers.
- Proficiency in logistics and fleet management software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations.
- Valid driver's license.
