- _Grade 12/ equivalent _
- _A qualified and trade tested _as a Red Seal Boilermaker_

**_Experience and Requirements:_**
- Minimum of 15 years post trade experience in PLATE steel fabrication as a Workshop Manager
- 5 years experience managing a fabrication workshop with a minimum of 50 staff members
- A proven track record of producing high quality stainless steel and carbon steel light to heavy fabricated components and equipment
- Of sober habits
- Own vehicle
- Reside in or around Roodepoort
- A stable work record and contactable references
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
- Able to run the fabrication site effectively
- Able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrate ability to effectively identify, communicate and solve problems
- Have strong leadership and management skills
- Sound knowledge of ASME, EN and AWS manufacturing codes
- Able read and interpret technical drawings
- Understand ISO quality systems
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong organizational skills with ability to plan and execute daily activities

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Planning
- Assigning, and directing work
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards
- Co-ordinate sub-contractors involved in the assembly stages
- Searches for the most efficient technical solutions
- Provides quantitative data for producing the progress reports
