Marketing Director

**Responsibilities**:

- The purpose of the job is to enable and build the growth potential of the Essential Foods Bakeries & Wheat categories. The person will fulfil the marketing lead for this extensive portfolio of categories and sub-categories. A high degree of co-ordination will be expected of the incumbent in developing strategy and executing plans to build nation brands within the context of regional dynamics. Further to this the incumbent will be required to synchronize with brands that also impact the SA Baked Goods and Baking categories, the Grains (Maize; Rice and Pasta) category, and the Cereals and Other Baking (Baking Aids) category. Bringing in-market, in-category market capability will ensure more strategic coherence and more synergies across the portfolio offerings that do exist today._

**_Accountabilities_**
- _ Align Brand calendars with GTM and DX teams_
- _ Set strategic agenda and commercial plans to accelerate growth, in alignment with the Category GM and the SSA CMO_
- _ Drive SOM gains in priority categories _
- _Deliver NR & NOPBT growth targets with Category GM_
- _ Drive Brand Health & Loyalty metrics with SSA CMO and SSA Insights & Analytics Senior Director_
- _ Execute Innovation & Pipeline priorities with Commercialisation and R&D partners_

Qualifications:
**_Key skills / Requirements_**
- _ 4 year Degree in Marketing or Business Management/Economics with a focus on Marketing _
- _7-10 years’ experience in core marketing Strong business acumen and organisational awareness. _
- _High bias for Action Track record of developing and deploying effective communication assets across all media channels. We want to touch the hearts and minds of our consumers, and we want them to buy our products. _
- _Relevant experience with managing agency relationships(creative, digital, media buying) _
- _Provide assumptions for long term brand growth, planned innovation, promotional guideline _
- _Proven portfolio management Strategic Focus and future thinking Proven Leadership Skills _
