SEO Specialist

The digital field marketing center of excellence is currently recruiting for a SEO specialist. This role will ensure completion of defined tasks within the SEO programme, for all hotels who participate across Europe, Middle East and Africa. The SEO specialist will be primarily responsible for the execution of keyword research and content optimisation, while supporting, collaborating and guiding on other components as required.
Core work activities
Managing work, projects, and policies

**This includes**:
Search engine optimisation
Support in the management of the SEO programme for EMEA
Develop understanding of industry, markets and hotels to ensure high relevance in recommendations and optimisations
Optimise copy and landing pages for search engine optimisation
Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities, using tools such as SEOClarity
Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success
Handle technical and strategic questions relating to SEO strategy for hotels
Manage multiple markets and hotels while executing time-sensitive deliverables
Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in organic traffic metrics
Monitor performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance
Understand technical SEO and how to monitor and improve performance where possible
Support and collaborate with SEO workgroup, providing recommendations and enhancements to deliverables and programme tactics
Conduct training sessions as needed with market teams on SEO programme, deliverables and strategy
Stay abrest of trends and changes globally, and inform and adapt based on these
Relationships and processes
Develop knowledge and work with Marriott international teams to improve turnaround and SLA’s to hotels.
Manage relationship with key vendors to drive scalability of efforts and implementation consistency (e.g. Digital HQ, Tripadvisor etc.) and platform development oriented at better tracking/conversion
Where appropriate, develop, support and implement new processes and track output to improve efficiency for the team.

Education and experience
Diploma in marketing or related field or equivalent certification from higher education advantageous
Minimum of two years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns
Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools such as SEOClarity
Copywriting experience advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable analysing high volumes of data
Familiarity with content management systems
Experience with other aspects of marketing advantageous
Strong workflow management skills
Organised, detail-oriented and deadline-sensitive; takes initiative and anticipates needs
