We are currently looking for a qualified First Aider based in Johannesburg. The First Aider will examine and treat minor workplace injuries within the level and scope of his or her first aid training and will provide reasonable observation and care to more serious injuries until qualified medical staff can be reached.
**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Examines and treats injuries within the scope of training and/or refers patients to appropriate clinic or arranges for transport to local hospital.
- Maintains required records and documentation including log of injuries and occupational illnesses requiring first aid treatment.
- Maintains adequate inventory of first aid supplies; requests additional supplies when needed.
- Maintains neat and tidy first aid room.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid First Aid Training Certificate.
- OHS certificates will be an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and tactful in stressful situations.
- At least 4 years working experience.
- Experience working in the hospitality sector is an added advantage.
- Ability and willingness to work with open cuts, burns, and other injuries.
- Good judgment and evaluation skills.
**Salary**: R66,000.00 - R72,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
