- We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our team As a Junior Buyer, you'll handle finding and buying products, negotiating prices with suppliers, and making sure inventory arrives on time. You'll also help develop buying strategies, keep track of stock levels, and create business reports. Additionally, you'll oversee packing operations, manage warehouse activities, and ensure everything meets health and safety standards. This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Analyse market trends to help develop strategies that boost sales.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Review supplier bids to ensure they meet our quality and price standards.
- Schedule deliveries to ensure timely receipt of inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors to make sure orders are delivered on time and within budget.
- Research new suppliers to find competitive rates for new products or services.
- Compile reports on sales figures, inventory levels, and other metrics for future planning.
- Follow protocols for processing orders and invoices.
- Ensure orders meet specifications for color, style, size, and other requirements.
- Supervise staff and daily activities.
- Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity.
- Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Order supplies and maintain suitable inventory levels.
- Check orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
- Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform daily inspections of the warehouse grounds.
- Coordinate and maintain fleets and equipment.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
- Convince suppliers to offer the best prices on products.
- Discuss product information, pricing, and other details with suppliers, managers, and other employees.
