**Operations Manager for Kindred Spirits (Sugabird Gin)**

**Key responsibilities**:
Responsible for multiple business processes including general management, strategy, processes, organisational team management - working directly with the MD on a daily basis. Dynamic start up company in a massive growth phase
- Business Process Improvements: Annual company strategy; shareholder communications; new product development; joint venture discussions; relationship building with customers and suppliers. Seek areas of improvement and implement processes/systems - in order to improve accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Analysis: Prepare and update all costing models; analyse raw data - from stock and sales trends down to store level. Annual, monthly and weekly trends. Analyse the effect of any discounts/sallies and sales items.
- Inventory/Production Planning: Ensure stock levels never drop below par. Involves warehouse management, production planning, managing of input materials and finished stock. Managing tight timelines during production of bespoke products. Project management.
- Accounting Functions: Payment of all invoices; allocation of remittance advice, statements, aged payables management; Xero management; keep SKU item codes up to date; pay salaries.
- Exports: Involved in communications with shipping agents; export orders; necessary Department of Agriculture Forestries and Fisheries (DAFF) export certificates; SARS excise deferment calculations; shipment tracking.
- Compliance: Liquor licences (National Liquor Authority and Western Cape Liquor Authority); micro-producers licence; SARS bonded warehouses (SOS and VMS); Food Safety Audit system; Police clearance documents; government inspections (labour, health and safety, environmental)
- Systems management: Online portal management (PnP, Take-a-Lot, Makro Marketplace, The Courier Guy, Shipping Agent portals.
- People Management: Manage three warehouse staff as well as the warehouse production manager. Train and manage admin assistant in all areas of admin, systems, order processing and numerous monthly tasks. Responsible for multiple business processes including general management, strategy, processes, organisational team management
