**JOB SCOPE**
The Project Manager, New Markets will be Safe-Hub's resident leader on new market establishment. You will lead cross-functional and cross-regional projects and programmes that realise Safe-Hub’s ambitious market entry strategy into West Africa and Southeast Asia. Under the guidance of the Director of Global Strategic Planning, the Project Manager, New Markets will be the point of contact to all in-country team leads in order to support a smooth and efficient scale up of Safe-Hub impact programming.
The Project Manager, New Markets will work with significant autonomy and agency toward Safe-Hub’s global ambitions. This encompasses a capacity to execute and refine Safe-Hub’s entry strategy while also resolving challenges and necessary contextual adaptations in collaboration with in-country team members or partners.
You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including funding, operating, consulting, and community stakeholders to ensure a responsive and intentional entry into new markets. Ultimately, you will drive successful migration of core programme components of the Safe-Hub model into new market teams by merging global best practices with local contextual insights.
Core duties and responsibilities include:
**1. Strategic and Project Management**
- Maintains design principles for organisational operating models and ensure ongoing adherence and compliance of relevant global and regional offices.
- Supports and maintains regional strategic plans as well as annual plans in line with global strategic planning practices to increase impact and efficiency of regional office through actionable steps and plans.
- Works closely with internal stakeholders in an agile and supportive environment to maximise each project’s success
**2. Stakeholder Relationship Management**
- Develops a strong foundation of trust and rapport with stakeholders and manages junior staff on this relationship development within the community and networks locally to improve the presence & reputation of Safe-Hub.
- Ensures high stakeholder satisfaction and addresses any challenges professionally and in line with policy and manages relationships with technical and implementing partners in a cooperative and positive manner.
- Keeps partners informed of progress and major milestones throughout projects and manage expectations.
**3. Business and Project Analysis and Development**
- Identifies patterns and designs frameworks and guiding principles that distil complex ideas and concepts into easy-to-understand and globally transferrable/replicable products.
- Contribute to Project Management Office’s ongoing efforts toward updating, revising, and improving systems and tools for project reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
**CORE COMPETENCIES, ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS and PREFERENCES**
**Experience/Skills**
- Experience creating logical frameworks and structures for complex concepts
- Familiarity in cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary work environments;
- Ability to resolve problems in a timely and consistent manner;
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work professionally in English-language environments.
- Experience of working in youth development, education and/or start-up environment.
- Working familiarity of French and/or Hindi (preferred)
- Experience working in West Africa and/or India (preferred)
**Salary**: R55,000.00 - R60,000.00 per month
