Who are we?
Oversee day-to-day IT Infrastructure operations
Deal with IT system issues being logged by users. Make sure the IT team investigate and resolve system and infrastructure issues timeously.
Oversee all IT projects, manage the assignments of tasks, deadlines etc.
Responsible for leading and managing the IT infrastructure team.
Respond to Ad hoc queries and tasks
3rd Party vendor management
Attend weekly CAB meetings.
Analyse and Approve all RFCs that’s gets submitted.
Inform and discuss relevant RFCs with other IT Teams / Business
Manage Capacity planning in the IT Infrastructure
Ensure the IT team is working optimally.
Weekly discussion with all team members regarding the tasks currently assigned to them
Assist team members with IT projects from a technical point of view
Assist team members with IT incidents logged
Be the escalation point for system related issues, calls logged by users
Responsible for the Disaster recovery plan.
Responsible for Annual disaster recovery tests
Responsible for DR documentation
Make sure all standby issues are responded to timeously.
Research new software solutions.
Assist with the design and implementation of new solutions.
Manage the implementation of new solutions.
Represent IT Infrastructure in monthly incident and risk meetings
Represent IT Infrastructure in ITSteerco.
Manage the design and implementation of Azure related projects.
Manage and coordinate system upgrades
Overall team management.
Assist with our hardware and software Budget What will make you successful in this role?
7 years in ICT Operations with at least 3 years in a team leadership role IT Infrastructure Support, Technical Architecture
Technical knowledge of On-Premise IT Infrastructure
Technical knowledge of Cloud Solutions i.e. MS Azure, AWS
Technical knowledge of VMWare and SAN Technologies
Strong skills in establishing and management of operational procedures
Strong analytical skills with the ability to coordinate relationships of various IT technologies for the delivery of business services
Very good written and oral communication proficiency in English
Familiarity and ideally qualified in ITIL Foundations with Event, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
Demonstrable experience providing leadership and strategic vision within area of responsibility
Microsoft Technical Certifications Advantageous Compentencies Required
