**Position Overview**:
As a Knife Salesperson, you will be responsible for promoting and selling a variety of knives to customers. Your primary objective will be to assist customers in selecting the right knives to meet their needs, providing product information, and ensuring a positive buying experience. You will also be responsible for achieving sales targets, building customer relationships, and maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:
**Customer Service**:
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance throughout their visit.
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate knives.
- Demonstrate product features, advantages, and benefits to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
**Sales and Product Knowledge**:
- Proactively approach customers, actively promoting and selling knives to meet individual and store sales targets.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the product line, including features, materials, and uses.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market developments.
- Effectively communicate product information, warranties, and after-sales services to customers.
**Merchandising and Inventory Management**:
- Ensure the sales floor is well-organized, visually appealing, and stocked with an adequate inventory of knives.
- Regularly check inventory levels, restock merchandise, and notify management of low stock situations.
- Collaborate with the store team to create attractive displays, promotions, and seasonal merchandising.
**Relationship Building**:
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction, address any concerns, and provide assistance as needed.
- Utilize customer databases or CRM systems to capture customer information and preferences for future marketing initiatives.
**Store Operations and Policies**:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Operate the cash register accurately, process payments, and handle financial transactions.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in a retail environment.
- Passion for knives, culinary arts, or outdoor activities is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple customers simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and calculating discounts.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
