**Job Description**:
**Senior Account Manager - PR**

Our client in the communications space is looking to employ a Senior Account Manager.

The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining positive client relationships and providing advisory at a senior level - ensuring confidentiality and the highest levels of professionalism. They will be required to drive the planning and implementation of profiling and reputation management initiatives, aligned with client objectives. To do this effectively, a key focus on proactively identifying, building, and maintaining positive relationships with relevant stakeholders, is vital.

**Responsibilities**

Experienced in supporting new business development - from proposals to budgets is key.

Understanding of current affairs with an ability to leverage public policy to support client profiling is required as well as a good understanding of key social media channels and experience in leveraging these platforms for clients

**Experience and Qualification**:

- A Degree/Diploma in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism
- At least 7 years of communications experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in an account management role, at the agency level
- Public policy-related stakeholder engagement experience will be advantageous

**Others**
- Has compelling research and strategic writing abilities with experience across key content formats (media releases, thought leadership, etc.)
- Is adept at issues and crisis management
- Strong public policy experience
- Maintains strong media and influencer relationships
- Is adept at engagements across diverse stakeholder segments
- Can quickly understand new sectors and add value to clients
- Understands current affairs and is able to leverage public policy to support client profiling imperatives
- Has a good understanding of key social media channels and experience in leveraging these platforms for clients
