**Job Purpose**

To lead the PMEL function among Rhiza International and partner entities. To promote the use of Rhiza International knowledge capital to inform strategic planning, operational management and the amplification of Rhiza Internationals impact.

**Duties /Responsibilities**

**Leadership**
Lead the PMEL team responsible for delivery of timely information, in an easy-to-use format, to inform strategic planning, operational management and decision-making, including:

- Biannual (mixed methods) evaluation of all programs
- Delivery of PMEL services to all Rhiza entities
- Monthly, quarterly and annual dashboards and impact statistics
- Impact evaluation across Rhizas entities

**Evaluation**
Implement transformative evaluation processes to ensure that staff across Rhizas work towards Achieving the holistic vision of the organization and learn from best practice to effectively deliver desired outcomes of economic empowerment of young people.

**IT and impact assessment**
Manage and interact with Rhizas information systems, including:

- Soweto Care Systems containing beneficiary biodata, attendance records and service access records.
- Finance/ Budgets
- Salesforce
- Microsoft SharePoint

**Third-party relationships**
Foster influential third-party relationships for the purpose of:

- Promoting learning throughout the organisation
- Promoting evidence-based development practice through rigorous research in relevant fields and organisations
- Sharing good practice models developed at Rhiza in order to amplify the impact of the organisation

**Qualifications**

To have a MSc or higher qualification (Bachelor Honours), in development studies, economics or social science equivalent or postgraduate education in M&E or social research.
- To have an affiliation with a relevant academic institution is deemed to be an advantage;
- Preferably have a background in the development/ social entrepreneurship sector.

**Training**
To be competent in strategic planning, strategic management and leadership.

**Experience**
- 5-7 years of experience in similar role in the development/ social entrepreneurial sector;
- Experience with statistical or an aptitude for analysis and information systems;
**Competencies**
- A passion for holistic development and social entrepreneurship in line with the vision of Rhiza;
- Competent, reliable, self-motivated, honest, integrity, hardworking and highly creative;
- Excellent and Effective verbal and written communication ability. Clearly conveying information and ideas; ensuring understanding. Comprehending communication from others.
